The Hunebed Centre in Borger (Drenthe) takes you back to prehistoric times. Here you can learn all about the mysterious hunebeds – the oldest monuments in the Netherlands – and the lives of the people who built these impressive burial chambers.

The museum shows how the first farmers lived, worked and settled in Drenthe thousands of years ago. Discover original finds, models and films that bring history to life.

Next to the museum you’ll find the largest hunebed in the Netherlands — a must-see. Outside, you can explore the Prehistoric Park, where ancient houses and tools give insight into life in the Stone Age.
