Enterse Zomp

In Enter, the famous clog and shipping village in Twente, you will find the historic Shipyard of the Enterse Zomp. Here, the region’s old shipping history comes to life and you can learn all about these traditional wooden boats.

The Enterse Zomp was once an important cargo ship in Twente, specially designed for shallow rivers and streams. At the shipyard, you can see how these boats were built by hand in the past.

You can visit the museum and workshop, where volunteers give demonstrations and explain how a zomp is constructed. Boat trips with a zomp on the Regge river are also available.
