Erzbergwerk Museum

The Erzbergwerk Museum in Ramsbeck, Sauerland, is the perfect place to experience the history of mining up close. The museum is located on the site of a former ore and lead mine and offers visitors a unique insight into the hard life of miners.

The highlight of the visit is the ride on the original miners' train, taking you more than 300 metres deep into the mountain. Guided tours lead you through the old tunnels and explain the working conditions, techniques and machines used in the past.
