The city is the heart of the province of Friesland. You can discover the beautiful surrounding area on foot, by bike or by boat.

Post-Plaza Hotel & Grand Café is situated in a quiet street, within walking distance of city centre, museums, shops and bars. The old prison “Blokhuispoort” is situated nearby just like the Fries Museum and the Ceramic Museum. The railway station is situated at approx. 1200 mtr, the nearest bus stop (Blokhuisplein) is situated within walking distance. At the back of the hotel you will find parking places. Parking lot Hoeksterend is situated at 800 mtr from Post-Plaza.

The hotel was recently renovated. The old post office was turned into a cool and trendy Grand Café. In both the old post office and the nearby old Gratma bank you will find luxurious hotel rooms. Both monumental buildings are connected to each other by a glass footbridge.

The 82 non-smoking rooms are fitted with all modern conveniences such as flat screen TV, safe, coffee- and tea making facilities, a luxurious bathroom and free WiFi. In the Grand Café of Post-Plaza Hotel & Grand Café (daily open from 07.00 am – 01.00 pm). The chef and his team serve lovely authentic dishes and drinks.
