When you visit Klooster Nieuwkerk Goirle, you enter one of the special Gôolse secrets. For many still an undiscovered place and for those who have been there, a wonderful memory. A place where they like to return to.

Klooster Nieuwkerk Goirle is a Dutch monastery located in the ‘Nieuwkerk’ estate. This nature reserve is located on the Dutch/Belgian border between the towns of Goirle (NL) and Poppel (BE). The area played an important role during the Eighty Year’s war. In 1639 a border church was built. In 1652, the residents of Tilburg also built a border church. The area that was called Steenvoirt until then, was now called Nieuwkerk. In 1799 the border church was demolished and the St-Jans-Gool chapel was built on the same spot. This chapel is still here and was restored in the 1980s.

The monastery is a unique place. You can spend the night in one of the cosy hotel rooms after a long cycling tour or simply enjoy good food and drinks in the Boscafé. The hotel has 20 beautiful, stylish hotel rooms. No room is the same, which makes every night a unique experience. The hotel has 9 luxurious double rooms with private bathroom and sanitary facilities on the first floor.

The central space in the monastery is the Boscafé. It serves on the one hand as a reception, on the other hand as a café/lounge. The Boscafé is a space with several cosy corners and a private terrace.

At Klooster Nieuwkerk Goirle you can completely relax, enjoy the delicious food and of course the beautiful surroundings.
