Hotel Restaurant Talens is located on the edge of the historic centre of Coevorden. Coevorden has a historic centre with many shops and beautiful terraces. You can visit the Stedelijk Museum in Coevorden or the Ellert and Brammert museum in Schoonoord. You can also visit larger cities such as Emmen and Hoogeveen or the nearby Germany. In the hotel, you can relax after a long walk or cycle tour through the beautiful nature of Drenthe. The area is a perfect operating base for walking- and cycling tours. For example, you can walk on the Pieterpad, that runs from Pieterburen in North Groningen to the Sint-Pietersberg in South Limburg. It is the longest hiking trail (498km) of the Netherlands and also crosses Coevorden. After a long walk, you can relax by the fireplace or on the terrace.

The Bargerveen consists of three different areas: the Meerstalblok, the Amsterdamsche Veld and the Schoonebeekerveld. Hardenberg and Dedemsvaart are located in the immediate vicinity. In Dedemsvaart you can, among other things, admire the gardens of Mien Ruys. Theme Park Slagharen and Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen are also within a radius of 25km.
