Get to know the royal Veluwe landscape with lots of forest and heathland. You can observe red deer, foxes and wild boars. The route goes straight through Kroondomein Het Loo. Tip: Visit the gardens of Palace Het Loo and the beautiful castle Cannenburgh. Die routes also take you along the Veluwemeer, through Harderwijk and Elburg.

On the Veluwe, you can come face to face with one of the animals of the Dutch Big Five: red deer, wild boar, roe deer, fox or a Scottish Highland cows.

Palace Het Loo
This well-known palace is located on the outskirts of Apeldoorn. Until 1975, this palace was inhabited by members of the Dutch royal family. Since 1984 it has been open to the public as National Museum Palace Het Loo and exhibitions and events take place here.

Kroondomein Het Loo
Kroondomein Het Loo is the largest contiguous estate in the Netherlands and is characterized by a rich cultural history, great biological diversity and a lot of scenic beauty. The area breathes peace, scenic beauty and harmony in a vast landscape.

Nunspeet
This village is located on the edge of the Veluwe. You can visit the North Veluwe Museum and the visitor center of the Veluwe.

Hanseatic city Harderwijk
The dazzling city of Harderwijk offers more than 100 monuments, picturesque streets and cosy squares. In the city you can find parts of the old city wall.

Hanseatic city Elburg
The fortified city of Elburg looks like a medieval museum. It is surrounded by a beautiful city canal and defensive walls. The perfect place to enjoy a terrace.

Castle and Park Cannenburch
The originally medieval castle Cannenburch is located in a beautiful old park forest with meadows and ponds. You can visit the castle and the park yourself, by means of an audio tour or app.

Wildpark and Museum Aardhuis
The Aardhuis was built in 1861 by order of King Willem III. It mainly served as a hunting lodge. The Aardmansberg is almost the highest point of the Veluwe (+102 m NAP). Here, you will also find the Echoput, built bij Lodewijk Napoleon.
