One of the oldest inns from the Netherlands is Auberge de Campveerse Toren. De Campveerse Toren was built as a fortress of Veere and has been used as an inn for 5 centuries. The Veerse Meer is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy. Veere is located on the peninsula Walcheren in Zeeland and easily accessible by car or public transport. The nearest railway station is located in Middelburg and from this railway station you can take the bus to Veere.
You can book a parking place for your car in the hotel (by providing your license plate number). The costs are € 20 per day. Outside Veere, the costs are € per day. There is a charging point for electric cars. At the reception, you can rent (E-) bikes to discover the surroundings. The inn offers free WiFi. The restaurant offers a wonderful view of the Veerse Meer, while you enjoy local dishes or a high tea. Every morning, breakfast is served here as well.
All 14 hotel rooms are uniquely furnished and offer a wonderful view of the Veerse Meer and/or the marina of Veere. The hotel rooms are spread over several locations, including the main building, Stella Maris, ’t Sterntje and ’t Waterschip. Stella Maris is located 10 meters from the main building, ’t Sterntje 15 meters and ’t Waterschip 50 meters. An extra bed or cot can be placed in some rooms.
Veere has a rich history. Admire one of the most iconic buildings, the Town Hall. You can still observe many Scottish influences in Veere, because it used to have a trade history with Scotland. Visit the characteristic Scottish houses or the Museum Veere, to learn more about the history of the city. You can enjoy nice cycling- and walking tours or a boat trip on the lake. Around the center you can still observe the ancient town ramparts. Do you want to relax? Visit the small city beach of Veere or the large beach in Vrouwenpolder (15 minutes).
